The Summer Season

The summer season is in full swing and for me this means a sweet run of outdoor fayres and markets to attend.

Let me run you through my upcoming events this summer.

First up it’s The Hanwell Wine Estate Craft and Wine fair on Sunday 26th June 2022. This was my first ever in person event last year so I am very excited to return to this beautiful venue. Set in Hickling Pastures, a small village in the Nottinghamshire country side the Hanwell Wine Estate is a family run vineyard producing their very own, and very popular range of wines and champagnes. They also do vineyards tours, craft work shops and numerous special events throughout the year.

The craft fair returns this June and is sure to be great day out.  Come along and enjoy the finest collection of local craft produces. Last year there was everything from handmade soaps and wax melts to local artists, jewellery, candles and chocolate! There is a café serving refreshments and of course plenty of their very own wine to sample and purchase straight from the vineyard itself.

On Saturday 2nd July I will be at South Wilford Primary School Summer Fair. This will be my first time at a school fair so I am interested to see how it goes down! I’m expecting a bit of madness, my memories of school fairs mainly include some dodgy dance displays and throwing wet sponges at the head teacher! Maybe times have changed a bit since then. I’ve made some really cute bracelets and some resin initial keyrings that I hope will be a hit with the kids. However as always my main focus will be on my earrings and have have some gorgeous new summery designs to show off.

There will be plenty of other stalls to browse and enjoy as well as a tombola, refreshments and entertainment.  All to support the fantastic PTA for South Wilford School.

Next up, Wymeswold Farmers Market on Sunday 3rd July  This event just seem to go from strength to strength as the list of vendors continues to grow. a delicious mix of local foods to sample and many local arts and crafts to explore. There is even a miniature railway ride for the kids. Wymeswold is a beautiful village on the outskirts of Leicestershire surrounded by stunning countryside. Proceeds form pitch fees are donated to the village playgroup making this a real community event.

So fingers crossed for sunshine…outdoor events are great if the weather is on your side!  I really hope you are able to pop along to some of these events, support some small local businesses and charities and spend some quality time with friends and family.

Sunshine and smiles all around xxx
